Remap Nintendo Joy-Con on PC as a pair or separately
It has become a great tradition to add new devices with each reWASD release. This time, you are welcome to use Nintendo Joy-Con controllers on your PC with your favorite mapping software. The lucky owners of this awesome device know that there are a pair of them, and both are reported to the system as a separate joystick. With reWASD, you can group them and use as a solid gamepad. It will be especially useful for those who have grip, but no worries, we support Joy-Con halves connected via Bluetooth too.
If you were interested in how to use Joy-Con on PC, here are three options you get with reWASD. First, with reWASD installed, you can use them with any DirectInput game even without any mappings or adjustments. Second, you can remap Joy-Con to Virtual Xbox 360, so all XInput games will see this lovely couple. Third, you can add keyboard and mouse actions to enable Joy-Con support for any PC game that doesn’t detect controllers at all. Which one will be your favorite? ;)

Since reWASD 4.0, you can use the virtual controller to add comprehensive combos or enable the controller support for Nintendo or DualShock gamepads that are not detected by many games. With the new version, we have implemented several important improvements to how our device works. First, now you can hide the physical gamepad from the system completely, so those games which are not working good with more than one gamepad will detect the right one easily.
Second, now you can tune the stick response of the virtual controller and adjust it how you’d like it to be. Third, you can create combos with stick directions, toggle the stick deflection and move the stick with digital buttons. That is truly huge, so do not hesitate to try!
Check usability improvements here and there
reWASD started from a pretty small app to map Xbox Elite paddles to keyboard keys. Today, it is a huge software with various features and supported devices. If you are using more than one often, you will find the new improvements useful. Take a look at the left bottom corner of reWASD main window. You will see big and detailed icons to distinguish connected controllers one from another. Still haven’t picked the right one? Click the icon to send a buzz to the gamepad — it will gently vibrate immediately.
Also, we’ve extended Slots feature in reWASD 4.1. Now you can set unique slot hotkeys for each gamepad you use.
